In 1974 at the Commonwealth Games in Christchurch a virtually unknown 17 year old named Jaynie Parkhouse swam to victory in the 800m Freestyle thus becoming the first New Zealand woman to win a Swimming Gold Medal at either Olympic or Commonwealth Games level.
32 years later Jaynie Hudgell (nee Parkhouse) along with her husband Craig, and business partners Chris and Marie Boon - the owners of Absolute Insurance Ltd - entered into an exciting Sponsorship program of Swimming in New Zealand.
This Sponsorship program can benefit every local Swimming Club in New Zealand.
