Moss has represented New Zealand with distinction since 2000, and is a great role model for future swimming champions in this country.

He holds individual NZ Records in the 200m Butterfly – short course and long course.

He is a part-time Design and Business student, and a full-time athlete.

Moss qualified for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, at the recent NZ Swim Trials.

Absolute Insurance is proud to insure such an outstanding young man, and we wish him every success in his career – both in and out of the pool!

Melissa is currently studying for a Bachelor of Arts at Auckland University.

Melissa holds the NZ Short & Long Course records for the 200 & 400metre Freestyle, and the 200m backstroke.

She is currently training hard as she has qualified for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Absolute Insurance congratulates this outstanding young woman on her past achievements and wishes her great success in her future endeavours.

Andrew McMillan

At 24 years of age, Andy is a bright swimming prospect with his sights set firmly on qualifying for the 2012 Olympics in London.

Growing up in Cromwell, Central Otago, he was coached by the late, legendary Duncan Laing in Dunedin, and now trains at the Millenium Institute on Auckland’s North Shore, under Scott Talbot.

Andy holds the NZ Short Course Record for the 200metres Freestyle, and his favourite events are the 200 Freestyle & Butterfly.

He gained a 5th place at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and competed for NZ at the 2007 FINA World Swimming Champs, the 2008 World Rescue Surf Life Saving Champs, and the 2009 FINA World Swimming Champs in Rome.

He has a Bachelor of Physical Education, but is entirely focused on training for the Olympics in 2012.

Absolute Insurance is proud to support such a dedicated young man in the pursuit of his goals.

Emily Thomas

Emily is 19 years old, and began swimming in Hawke’s Bay at the age of 9, because her parents believed it was important for her to know how to swim well.

She trains at the Millennium Institute on Auckland’s North Shore, under Coach Scott Talbot.

Her favourite events are the 50 and 100m backstroke, and she holds short course and long course age-group records in both these events, as well as the 100m Long Course Open Record, and the Short Course Open 50 & 100m backstroke.

Emily has qualified for this year’s Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, and will then aim to qualify for her first Olympics in 2012. Her ultimate goal is to win a World Championship and medal at an Olympic Games.

Absolute Insurance applauds Emily’s dedication and wishes her every success in achieving her goals and dreams.
